apple: all your data are belong to us. data created on a system that ran lion CANNOT be restored to a system that’s running an earlier version of osx. you are locked-in and cannot roll back. if neither of them can write operating systems that work, at least microsoft understood the basic idea of backwards compatibility. what kind of nonsense is it to make data DEPENDENT on the os that created it? there’s no reason besides marketing.
